As the UK economy continues to go from strength to strength, Chilworth Partnership’s LinkedIn page appears to be following a similar trend. Chilworth’s latest LinkedIn growth is the quickest the company has experienced thus far, as the increase from 451 to 500 followers occurred at a rate which was 113% quicker than the previous increase of 50. The business emphasises that the majority of this success is down to the fact that many employees are looking to start 2015 afresh, with a new job at the forefront of their minds. However, Chilworth Partnership has also made a conscious effort to increase its LinkedIn following, predominantly through posting current job vacancies and sharing accountancy related news.

The recent LinkedIn growth spurt highlights the fact that Chilworth Partnership & Venture Recruitment Partners will continue to focus on ways in which they can devise dynamic online strategies. This will allow for a further increase in the companies’ networks.

Market Update – February 2015

As the post-Christmas blues begin to retreat for another year, Chilworth Partnership & Venture Recruitment Partners have been seizing fresh, New Year opportunities in the recruitment market. Despite the fact that we are yet to reach the halfway point in February, Chilworth & Venture have picked up new clientele, expanding on previous success the businesses prospered from in January.

The market upturn for the sister businesses not only signals an improvement in the recruitment market, but also brings a wave of good news to accountants. The Financial Times reported at the end of January, that for all the gloom which has surrounded the wider economy, 2015 is expected to be “another bright one for accountants seeking a job” – across all sectors of experience. This positivity is allowing Chilworth Partnership & Venture Recruitment Partners to push on in 2015 with excitement and confidence.

Further to last month’s update, Chilworth & Venture are delighted to announce that Mandy Hickson will give a presentation, titled “Realising Goals in High-pressure Situations”, at their next Business Breakfast, which is scheduled to be hosted on the 21st May 2015. Mandy is a former RAF pilot and was one of the first female pilots to serve in a front line Tornado GR4 squadron, taking an active role in the Iraq conflict. More details about this to follow.

Market Update – January 2015

The month of December filled both Chilworth Partnership and Venture Recruitment Partners with Christmas cheer, as it proved to be a bumper month. Despite being regularly perceived as a quiet time of the year for recruitment, Chilworth and Venture managed to place seven permanent accountants, as well as three on an interim basis.

As both Chilworth Partnership and Venture Recruitment Partners push on through January, both businesses continue to receive an influx of opportunities, with several new roles becoming available. As recruiter.co.uk informs, January and the rest of 2015 looks “brighter, particularly in some areas, for accountancy recruiters and accountants themselves so employers cannot be complacent about hanging on to and attracting the best talent”.

In other news, due to the success of the Business Breakfast in late November 2014, both Chilworth and Venture are in the early stages of organising their next breakfast event, bringing a lot of excitement to the office! More news in relation to this topic will appear in due course.

Market Update – November 2014

As we lead up to Christmas the market shows no signs of slowing at The Chilworth Partnership and Venture Recruitment Partners.

On the contrary, November has already shown a peak in activity. With a string of prestigious clients keeping both sides of the business incredibly busy, we are pleased to announce that The Chilworth Partnership and Venture Recruitment Partners are enjoying a successful month.

With local companies now turning on the tap to recruit new talent, both our businesses have found the market to be candidate-driven over the past few months. The Recruitment and Employment Confederation states “Candidate availability continues to fall sharply” (October 2014). These conditions are ideal for the few businesses like ours with their own in-house research functions. The burgeoning confidence in the market has seen The Chilworth Partnership and Venture Recruitment Partners placing six permanent candidates and five new interim candidates. More importantly, there is a growing order book which will enable us to finish 2014 well and start 2015 with a high degree of optimism.

Furthermore, with confidence growing in the local business community and with more candidates moving into new roles the interim market is blossoming. Companies are looking for more immediate solutions to deal with new project requirements, staff shortages and longer lead times in identifying and securing good permanent talent.

With the UK job market growing at its fastest rate in 43 years, it is no great surprise that Chilworth Partnership and Venture Recruitment Partners are confident that business is going to be buoyant over the coming months.

The Chilworth Partnership’s Fourth Birthday!

On 20th September it will be exactly four years since Chilworth Partnership first opened our doors for business. Our business has gone from strength to strength over the past four years, forming two unique brands of which we are incredibly proud.

The Chilworth Partnership and Venture Recruitment Partners provide modern financial recruitment services founded upon traditional ideologies. Our consultants invest time meeting with all the candidates we represent and this alone sets us apart from our competitors. This new digital recruitment age presents us with immense scope to reach and engage with our target audience and we are determined this will compliment and not replace the human touch on which we have built our businesses. We portray candidates in an honest and rounded fashion that enables all parties to be fully aware of their strengths and weaknesses.

Market Update – September 2014

Based on early activity so far we are confidently predicting that September is going to be a very busy month for Chilworth and Venture.

Whilst the thought of summer ending is not a desirable one- the increase in job opportunities within finance and accountancy certainly is!

Although there was a slowdown in activity during August due to the summer holiday period, The Chilworth Partnership and Venture Recruitment still managed to place 4 qualified accountants into permanent roles. A further 2 interims have been introduced to assignments across the Hampshire and Dorset area.

In the coming months we expect to see more roles becoming available on an interim, contract and permanent basis in comparison to last year’s figures. With reports showing that business expansion is at its fastest in over two years, it is no surprise that there is a noticeable increase in demand for qualified accountants.

Market Update – August 2014

The usually unpredictable British weather has provided us with one of the most glorious summers to date- all just in time for the school kids 6 weeks holidays! With this sunny weather comes a fleet of exciting events surrounding the Hampshire area; from the Boat Show in Southampton, to the Bournemouth International Air Festival this summer is one that is heightened by the exciting activities our area has to offer.
Despite the temptation to bask in the sun, Chilworth and Venture have remained in the office  hardworking as ever, instead channelling this brilliant positive weather through our respective business over the last month.

However as summer has kicked in, the financial recruitment market is showing the traditional tell-tale signs of slowing down. Despite this fact, Chilworth and Venture have not fallen to this trend; instead, in July  five qualified accountants have been placed in roles that have furthered their career. Furthermore, two interim managers have been introduced to assignments across the Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley areas, supporting the growth and development of our clients.

The Chilworth Partnership voted one of the Top Interim Service Providers

Here at the Chilworth Partnership, we are delighted to announce that we have been featured in the Institute of Interim Managers’ list of Interim Service Provider Survey 2014.

The guide lists the findings of the UK’s most authoritative annual survey of leading interim service providers. The Institute of Interim Management (IIM) has compiled over 15,000 unique votes from around 2,500 interim managers and executives in this year’s interim management survey, ranking interim service providers chosen from several hundred providers  ranked into four divisions, ‘Platinum’, ‘Gold’, ‘Silver’ and ‘Bronze’.
